Extronics - Wireless Technology for Hazardous Areas

Extronics has been leading the way in hazardous area wireless since the launch of our first ATEX certified wireless solution in 2005. We're continually building on this experience and have formed technical partnerships with providers such as Cisco, Aruba, Siemens, ProSoft, and more.

With the rise of the Internet of Things concept and the increased need for connectivity in modern industry, we're using our knowledge to bring the latest functionality and best performance to your wireless application.

We have several different wireless solutions available, depending on the level of hazardous area certification you require:

ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 & 21
North America Class I Div 1/Zone 1
ATEX and IECEx Zone 2 & 22

To improve our wireless solutions, we developed the ground-breaking iSOLATE technology:

iSOLATE501 to make RF outputs intrinsically safe
iSOLATE-CT to enable easy installation and quick hot swapping of antennas

iSOLATE technology comes as standard in our iWAP107 and iWAP202 access point enclosure systems.

We also have a range of antennas that our experienced engineers have assessed as simple apparatus, and therefore suitable for use with wireless solutions that have intrinsically safe outputs - such as our iWAP enclosure systems.
